The more I become comfortable in myself and who I am, the less I get embarrassed in public spaces. For example, I was walking out to my friend’s patio at her birthday party. Drink in hand, I was talking to someone, and low and behold did not notice that the screen door was closed. So of course, in true Ari fashion, I body-slammed the screen door (low key breaking it) and spilled a drink on it.
Was it really freaking embarrassing to do that in front of a ton of people I didn’t know? Absolutely!
Did I still have a great time, and exchange numbers with a cute guy afterward? Hell, Yeah I did!
I think we tend to think that our small moments of embarrassment are way bigger than they actually are. In all honesty, they aren’t, because in the end no one really cares. And if they do, then they are trash and are way too concerned about you and what you’re doing.
So go out there, and live your life and have some stupid moments. Because who cares?!
And think of it this way, embarrassing stories are the best to tell.
