So this is less of a "hey here's what I'm wearing and here is where I got it from post" and more of a hey here is me really having fun with experimenting with my style. This photoshoot was actually completely on a whim and was due to my mom suggesting that it would be a really great picture if I just got super dressed up and then got on our huge tractor in the backyard. Of course i was on board with the whole thing and with the loving help of my sister we were able to capture some pretty great things.
I think this just shows that fashion isn't all about where you got something from or making sure that you are "on trend" It's about having fun in a way that is reflective of you but also of a greater combination of personal style that you have developed. Personally I think if i had a label to my true personality and style, it would be somewhere between a fairy and like edgy street style. So i felt that this light pink, airy tutu paired with a black off-the-shoulder top perfectly mixed the two together and created something fun and not completely unwearable in public.
I think my only hesitation with this outfit was that it was very much a play on volume. I mean I have the fluffy tutu with the wide a-line type top thats happening, so i was afraid that i would look like a big old triangle, but it came out very well just because I am a shmallish human (5'4' holla!) so I kinda have the liberty to experiment with a more editorial look and play with hella volume.
in conclusion to my rant is that this...was a lot of fun and just kind of freeing for me stylistically. This just goes to show that sometimes, you gotta take some risks with your clothing and also to just have fun with it. Fashion isn't supposed to be hella serious all the time, It's supposed to be fun for you.
