Anyone who knows me knows that I do not shy away from color in my daily wardrobe, but I also know that it can be hard to get out of the rut of blacks and greys during the winter time. So I actively try to incorporate lighter and brighter colors into my wardrobe.
Here you see me wearing a mustard yellow sweater from H&M, it was actually a steal from the men's section. I paired it with my light wash boyfriend jeans from The Loft and my trusty black booties from Steve Madden. To add some extra fun to the outfit, I have my fur vest from Francesca's and silver drop earrings (courtesy of my mom). The addition of the vest and the earrings definitely give the outfit an extra something.
So when putting your outfits together for the winter season, maybe incorporate a little color. It doesn't have to be anything drastic though. Your color could easily be a deep blue or a rich burgundy. Yellow just so happens to keep me out of my winter blues, but you pair whatever color gives you that extra pep in during the winter.
