"SMELL LIKE STRONG WOMAN"

After spending about 30 to 45 minutes shoved onto a bus, marveling at the beauty of the south, we finally made it to the village of Èze. Our first stop in Èze was a perfume store/factory. we went in and were met by the sassiest woman alive (she was pretty awesome) and she gave us a walking tour of the rooms at the perfume factory. We saw the room where they made the soaps, saw machinery that used to be used to boil and get the essence of the products for the perfumes, learned about all the types of scents such as: florals, citruses, and oriental scents. We also were ale to see the room where the mixed the perfumes together. This room is basically where the mixologists of the perfume world come to work everyday and mix specific fragrances in order to create the perfect scent of perfume. These people go to school for this, and I'm not even joking. They go to school to become trained to be professional scent-ers! And I'm not talking like a couple months, we are talking about years of schooling to be deemed good at this. Like that's crazy.

After our minds were blown by the scent room, we made it back to the front room, where we tried out the different perfumes that they were offering there. There was one that I especially loved (and ended up buying) that had patchouli and other beautifully deep scents in it. When speaking about this one, our tour guide said that this was for if you wanted to "smell like strong woman" and when I bought it, she proceeded to say I was "strong woman." It was hilarious, but I do have to say that every time I wear that perfume, I feel a little extra boost of confidence because of her.

GIVING JENN A HEART ATTACK

After the perfume tour (we all now smelled like we were dumped in a vat of flowers) we trekked our way up into the village part that was placed on the more mountainous region. We made a stop at this cool alcove that gave us the most beautiful sight of where the land met the water, and me being me, I had to get some great pictures. So I asked my friend Erika to take pictures, and I proceeded to climb on top of the walled area, and nearly gave my program liaison, Jenn, a heart attack. It was even worse because after I did it, everyone was climbing on the wall. So yea slightly dangerous, but hey I did it for the Instagram.

EXPERTS IN EXPLORING

We trekked even further up and stopped to reserve our spot at a restaurant. During our wait, we were given free reign to explore the cute village of Èze and see the sights of it. It was honestly so beautiful, not only were the skies blue and the scenery green and lush, but the buildings were a so quaint and beautiful. They were nothing like the buildings of Nice, but they took on a mediterranean façade similar to buildings of the Grecian isles. We climbed up and down steps, looked into secret passageways, and browsed the cute shops selling artwork, jewelry, and other treasures. Finally, it was time for us to eat.

Italian: The food of my soul

After spending our time exploring and taking all the pictures, we finally settled down for a really good lunch of Italian food and wine (my favorite food groups to be honest) and just talked with each other. It was nice to catch up with the group and see how everyone is doing.

So after some bomb lasagna and rosé, we made our way back down to the roads, hopped back on a bus, and headed to Monaco.
