A conversation between my boss and I (My boss and me? Me and my boss? IDK it’s Monday):
Boss: Did you cut your hair?
Me: Um I washed it, but I didn’t cut it haha.
Boss: Really? It looks shorter.
What I wanted to say: Well I did a twist out instead of bantu knots, and usually whenever I do a twist out my curls are more defined but makes it seem shorter because what we call shrinkage. But with bantu knots, they stretch out my hair, so while it’s longer in length, the curls are less defined.
What I actually said: I mean it’s curlier so maybe that’s it.
