Vintage Vibes
Hello loves! And for today's fashion post, I have decided to give you not only one particular look, but show you some of my favorite pieces that give me some vintage vibes as well as an outfit that is 90s inspired. So without further ado, let's get into it!
Denim Denim Denim
The first piece I want to talk about is my favorite faded denim jacket. Now I kind of consider myself a connoisseur of denim jackets considering that I have three of them: a faded oversized one like the one you see here, a cropped one with patches, and a dark one with pearls on the sleeves. For today, we are going to focus on my oversized, faded, denim jacket. Now I first of all love this jacket because it can basically go with anything and is big enough to layer with other clothes. It's also light enough that I can wear it on a summer night and not burn up and die.
A second reason why I love this jacket is because it's kind of faded and has a worn feel to it, even though I brought it from the H&M website. Also the wash of it is perfect, not too light and not too dark.
Besides all my rave reviews, you should defs have a jean jacket in your closet. Because in my opinion, it's a staple piece for any fashion lover. If you are thinking about looking for one then check it out here!
High-Waisted or Not At All
My next fave item to give me a vintage feel are my Perfect Jean Short from Madewell (They are literally called that). The reason why I love these is because of their high waist. I am a sucker for high-waisted everything so these were perfect for me. Also the fact that they're a Butler Wash with frayed ends, gives a very comfortable and vintage feel to it. Check it out here to maybe get some of your own!
Flippin' Out
Finally we have probably the best sunglasses that I have ever purchased. These sunglasses are literally just straight up 90s-A Different World-vintage nostalgia with their flip up feature. I'm personally so obsessed with them and you will definitely catch me wearing them all the time. I originally got them off of Amazon for 10 dollars but you can find more fun vintage sunnies at Wear Me Pro. They are a cool and affordable glasses website, where you can find all types of different frames to fit your look.
The Look
Now putting everything together below you can defs see the shorts and the jacket from and center of this outfit. I personally love doing jean on jean, and the wash of these pieces aren't two similar to where it's a straight up Canadian suit, but still compliments each other.
With it I chose to belt my jean shorts with a buckled belt curtesy of Fossil. There's some fun detail on the belt that you can't see in this picture, but I'll link it here if you want to cop it. I'm also wearing a cropped, long-sleeved, burgundy shirt that I actually made from an old dress that I thrifted. Due to it being a bit on the shorter side, I paired it with a white sports bra underneath, so that even though you see it in the pic, it still contributes to the overall 90s/ All That vibe I'm trying to portray, and I think I did pretty great if I do say so myself.
