Can You Hear Me Now?

Can You Hear Me Now?

So if you've been following me on Instagram, you know that my closest friend is currently living the life in London. Now, this isn't the first time that we have had to keep up with a friendship from different time zones (due to the fact that I was in Paris for 5 months), but that doesn't make it any easier.

So here are a couple of things to know when your friend is in a different time zone:

Become A master Of Time

Now I'm not saying that you need to do some time manipulation type thing, but you need to know your timezones. Whether it's a six-hour difference or a two-hour difference, just remember that a good time for you may not be the best time for them and vice versa.

FaceTime is Your Friend

Become comfortable with video chatting. Be it Facetime, Skype, Facebook video chat, or whatever, you need to know how to use some sort of video chat app. Because guess what you're gonna miss each other's faces.

Know Their Schedule

Be sure that you know what's going on throughout their day. For example, maybe they have class whenever you have free time, or maybe your extracurriculars are during their free time. Whatever it may be, make sure you guys always know what's going on in each other's life.

Schedule Your Friend Time

This may sound ridiculous, but it will save you some frustration. If you set specific times or days to chat it up with your friend, then you won't be freaking out or wondering about when the next time you'll talk to each other.

Now, there are so much more things that you can do, but these are just a couple of the things my best friend and I do so that we aren't missing each other too much. Comment below and let me know what you do to stay-in-touch with a long distance friend.
